Millions of Aussies set to be soaked by 2000 kilometre rainband across that will soak 90 per cent of the nation by the weekend

Millions of Australians are set to get soaked this weekend with a massive rain band stretching 2000km across the country and bringing with it a severe wet weather system.
The wet weather will extend from the Kimberley region in north-west Washington, across the center of the country and down into western Victoria. A second band of rain will extend from far north Queensland to south Queensland, including Brisbane.
Bad weather warnings are issued for Western Australia, New South Wales, ACT, Tasmania and Victoria.

By Friday, the string of warm days Sydney enjoyed earlier in the week will end, with a high chance of showers, with a high wind warning issued for coastal areas.
Rain will continue throughout the weekend.
Melbourne will deal with pressure on Friday and Saturday, but locals will get a reprieve when skies clear on Sunday.
However, the Queensland capital Brisbane will be hit by wet weather on Friday, Saturday, with between 5mm and 20mm expected, and then again on Sunday.
Heavy rain is currently forecast for Canberra on Friday, with up to 20mm expected in the nation’s capital. The city is expected to clear up on Saturday, with more rain expected on Sunday.
And it will be rainy in Adelaide on Friday before easing a bit on Saturday, with Sunday’s weather expected to be “sunny” with “light winds”. according to the BoM.
Hobart will endure some rain on Friday but is expected to clear over the weekend.
Heavy rain is forecast for Perth from Friday to Sunday, with the heaviest rainfall expected on Sunday when 15mm to 45mm is forecast.
Meanwhile, Darwin will be dry throughout the weekend, with maximum temperatures of 34C forecast.
